Christmas DJ for venues
and a packed dancefloor
Your client wants ABBA, the neighbours want quiet and your bar manager wants the tills ringing. I’m Alex Baker, and I’ve spent 20+ years DJing in bars and clubs, so I know how to keep all three happy.

When your client asks
if you know a DJ
At Christmas you’ll get asked a lot. Here’s what you can count on when reccommend me as the DJ for your festive party bookings.
I know how venues work
I’ve spent two decades working for clubs and bars, and I held down a single residency for 15 years. I know how a busy December Friday runs, and where a DJ fits into it.
Prices you can build on
My guide prices are on this page, so you can price your client’s booking before you’ve even spoken to me. I invoice you, you charge your client what you like, and block-booking several dates earns you a discount.
Your client, your call
Some venues want to handle every message themselves. Others would rather I spoke to the client directly. I’m happy either way: send me their requests, or send me their number.
Don’t just take
my word for it
“Yes, he’s loyal, punctual and promotes the night too… but the reason I keep him coming back, is that his dance floor is full when he starts his set to the moment he finishes.”
Andrew Roberts
Operations Manager, national chains and independent groups
“With Alex, I know I’ll get professionalism and an innate ability to select the perfect music for any given moment.”
Dulcie Weaver
Bookings Manager, Brighton & Hove Pride
“Alex provided fantastic entertainment through the night for our guests, I’d definitely recommend him for your party.”
Ranjiv Chadha
Marketing Manager, Snoozebox Hotels
Your client’s music,
my job.
Send me the booking and I’ll take it from there. I’ll speak to your client about the music and any requests (or work from what you send me), then build the set around their guests and how the evening runs.
Got a DJ booth, CDJs or a house system? I can plug in and play from USB. Nothing there? I bring a full Pioneer setup with sound and lighting, and take it all away afterwards.
I take requests on the night, and I’m a host as well as a DJ, so announcing dinner, the raffle or the speeches is covered too.
What I need to quote you
Just four things:
- the date, and start and finish times
- how many guests
- which venue it is
- whether you have DJ kit, or I need to bring mine
Sound limiters, access and parking can wait until it’s booked.

Your kit or mine,
either works.
Most Christmas bookings need a DJ for two to three hours after dinner. These are the two set-ups I offer, with guide prices to you that you can build into your own quote. Every event is bespoke, so tell me what the booking needs. If your client has a budget in mind, let me know and I’ll work to it. Booking several dates? There’s a discount for block bookings.
You’ve got
the kit
Your venue has a sound system, lighting and somewhere for a DJ to set up? I’ll work with what’s there.
- I plug in and play from USB, or bring my own controller
- Nothing for your team to set up or hire in
- Weeknights
from £275
- Weekends
from £325
You need
the full set-up
No DJ set-up at the venue? Maybe it’s a restaurant, hotel or function suite. I bring a fully produced setup and take it all away afterwards.
- Professional DJ equipment and sound system
- Lighting scaled to your venue, to make the dancefloor come alive
- Laser show available if you want to go big
- Weeknights
from £375
- Weekends
from £425
Not sure which suits the booking? Tell me about the venue and what your client wants, and I’ll tell you what it needs.
More for your clients
to book...
Dinner at 7 and the DJ at 9 leaves a long gap. Add a hosted quiz or karaoke to any setup and the party starts before the dancing does. Your client’s guests are talking and laughing by the time the first record goes on, on your premises and under your name.
Merry Quizmas
Gets every table talking while dinner is served.
A hosted Quiz of the Year: music, telly, news and the moments of 2026 worth arguing about. Tables play as teams, so nobody gets put on the spot. I host and keep score, then the DJ set kicks off.

Kara Ho-Ho-Hoki
Gets everyone singing, not just the brave ones.
Guests choose their own songs on the night and nobody is pushed up. I run the mics, the queue and the nervous first-timers, and we swap between karaoke and dancing as the mood takes them.

It only takes a minute
to get the (disco) ball rolling
1. Send me the booking
The date, start and finish times, number of guests, the venue, and whether you have DJ kit. The form below is all it takes.
2. I quote, and speak to your client
You’ll get a clear quote, usually within 24 hours. If you want me to speak to your client about the music, I will. If you’d rather handle that, I’ll work from what you send.
3. I sort the details and play
Once it’s confirmed I’ll ask about your sound limiter, access and parking. Then I set up, play, and pack down.
Questions
people ask
Here’s what venue teams ask most often. Something not covered here? Put it in the enquiry form and I’ll answer it with your quote.
How much does a Christmas DJ cost for a venue booking?
If your venue has the kit, I start from £275 on a weeknight and £325 at a weekend. If I bring everything, it’s from £375 and £425. Those are my guide prices to you for a typical after-dinner set of up to three hours, so you can build your own margin into what you quote your client. Every event is bespoke, so send me the booking and I’ll get back to you with a no-obligation quote, usually within 24 hours.
Who do you invoice, and is there a discount for several dates?
I invoice the venue, and you charge your client however suits you. If you book several dates together, I’ll discount them. Tell me how many and which dates, and I’ll include it in the quote.
Are you insured, and can I see the paperwork?
I carry £10 million public liability insurance and I’m DBS checked. If your venue asks suppliers for certificates, tell me which and I’ll send what you need. The details are also on my policies page.
What do you need from us on the night?
Somewhere to set up, a power supply and a time to load in. Once the booking’s confirmed I’ll ask about your sound limiter, access and parking, and work to them. If I’m bringing my own kit, I’ll tell you how much space it needs.
Can you speak to our client directly?
Yes, if you’d like me to. I’ll talk to your client about the music, the timings and any requests, and check with you on anything that affects the venue. If you’d rather handle that yourselves, send me what they want and I’ll work from it.
What if something goes wrong on the night?
I carry spares for all the major kit, and my music is backed up several ways, so a failed laptop doesn’t stop the party. If something ever stopped me getting there, I’d tell you straight away and we’d agree the best fix: me arriving a little late, or someone I trust covering the booking.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. Fridays and Saturdays in December go first and fast. Send me the date (or dates) and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can with availability and a no obligation quote.
What music do you play?
Whatever suits your client’s guests: chart hits, throwbacks, pop, house, and some Christmas cheese if they want it. I take requests on the night, and I can drop in lossless streams of virtually any song.
Can you do announcements as well as the music?
Yes. I’m a host as well as a DJ, and I’ve emceed on stages at Brighton, Manchester and Soho Pride, so a raffle, awards or a thank-you from your client’s boss are no problem. I can also provide wireless microphones if your client wants to host anything themselves.
Where do you travel?
I’m based in Brighton & Hove and I play across the UK, with plenty of gigs in London and across Sussex and Surrey. Tell me where the venue is and I’ll quote for it.
Let's talk
Fill out the form with the booking details and anything your venue needs from me. I’ll come back with a quote and with answers to anything you asked about. From there we can talk, and get the date locked in.
There’s no obligation to take things further if the booking changes or your client goes another way.
